About the Camp

ChopArt partners with Kaarmic Education Services to bring project based arts to Hyderabadi teenagers ages 10-16. Through a 15 day residential camp 6,000 teenagers are able to build friendships, receive full room and board and create positive life long memories.

Hyderabad's government has graciously supported the camp through Kaarmic and has provided the resources needed to help us to develop programs for teens across Hyderabad, India.

As broken down into 2-3 hour blocks, each day the teens have a specified period of engagement with the arts culminating in a final showcase.

Teens in this program live below the international poverty limit and will likely engage with the arts for the first time through ChopArt.

About Hyderabad

Hyderabad is a major city in Andrah Pradesh (a state in India). It is located in southeast India and is the 4th most populous city in the country. Popular destinations are Charminar, Ramoji Film City and NBR National Park.

Hyderabad is diverse in religion and culture and is known for delicious biryani and beautiful pearls. You'll get by fine with speaking English, although knowing a few local phrases will help when bargaining and navigating the city.

Be sure to ask questions and go with the flow!
